After playing at the 2008 Grammy Awards, Annalyze has proven herself as one of the leading ladies of Breaks, D n B, Hip-Hop, Party Rock and Turntablism who is always pushing herself to the next level and on top of her game.
She has played all over the world, alongside DJs such as Q-Bert, A-Trak, Craze, The X-ecutioners, and Klever to name a few. She has toured extensively with Playboy's 50th Anniversary Resident DJ Shortee and in 2006, she also toured with the legendary west-coast DJ Quik. Annalyze has made numerous television appearances varying from "The Jimmy Kimmel Show" (backing B Real of Cypress Hill fame and Travis Barker from Blink 182) all the way to performing alongside the UK's very own Lady Sovereign live at the MTV Time Square NYC studios!
Annalyze also holds a residency in Shanghai, China at the infamous Club Bonbon. Her stellar scratching & mixing style have earned her national sponsorships with companies like Pioneer, Shure, Stanton, Red Bull and many others. Regularly rocking the club and party scene, crowds are not only mesmerized by Annalyze's scratching & turntable trickery, but by her energetic stage presence which creates a vibe that keeps the dancefloor moving all night long. The crowd pleaser that she is, Annalyze can often be found stepping away from the turntables and joining the crowd in a dance!
But in order to truly understand Annalyze, let's take it back to the beginning with her first residency in Rochester, NY at Club Vibes, where she played mostly 2-Step, Breaks & House. Her passion of music fueled her to explore different possibilities and to take DJ'ing to the next level. Coincidentally in the fall of 2001, she became inspired by local scratch/turntablist DJs and realized that scratching was what she really wanted to learn.
Two years later at the 2003 Winter NAMM show she was able to showcase her skills, and this is where she met scratch mistress DJ Shortee (one half of the LA based duo Faust & Shortee). Returning the following year at the 2004 Winter NAMM show, Annalyze played alongside Shortee on 4 turntables & together, Annalyze & Shortee formed the first female 2x4 scratch duo called "Twice As Nice". Annalyze is featured alongside Shortee in DJ documentaries, "Girl" & "Vinyl is a Girls Best Friend" & she also has a cameo in "Shortee's DJ 202" instructional DVD.
Annalyze has recently stepped into the studio & is working on her own production. She is also working on a few hip hop collaborations with Nickal Fieldz & Eyeconz Entertainment. Through Eyeconz she has been focusing more on hip hop and party rockin/mashup style.
